Last week we went to southern Germany to finally mate Bikita with Akono. We were very excited about how everything would proceed, but everything went smooth. We had some wonderful days with Akono’s owners, Petra and Wolfgang Reiter, and Bikita and Akono was very fond of each other. Bikita had complete control of how to conduct herselves as female, and Akono is a gentle, but experienced gentleman. We had one mating for 3 consecutive days, all went quite uncomplicated, before we returned home to Denmark again. Bikita was as always a little angel to travel with. Incredibly patient, no complaining about long car trips or boat rides and quiet and easy on the various hotelrooms.
A huge thank you from here to Akono, Petra and Wolfgang Reiter for pleasant hours, a lot of wonderful food and that everything was a great experience for both Bikita and us.
Now we just cross fingers and hope deeply that an ultrasound scan in early January will show, that Bikita is pregnant. In this case the birth is expected around the 13.th in February.
