About a puppy from us

Let us reveal this at once: you won’t often be able to get a puppy from our little kennel, as we have no intentions to breed every year or every second year. For a start we have only planned just one litter with Bikita, but we have of course hopes and dreams, that this litter will be the start of some very good Ridgebacks from us.

So far we have spent many hours to find the male dog, who will be just the right match for Bikita, knowing very well that the perfect dog don’t exist.  You can be sure, that we will breed according to the ethical recommendations from the Danish Rhodesian Ridgeback Club (RRK) and the Danish Kennel Club (DKK), and besides that our aim is to breed typical, healthy and beautiful Ridgebacks with excellent movements, a lovely temper and with the ability and will to work. A good temper is the most important quality. If the temper isn’t good, all the other qualities doesn’t  count.

A puppy from us will grow up in the middle of our family with attention on the necessary socialization and habituation to different people, children and animals.

A puppy from us will have the recommended  treatment for worms and  vaccination, and when it is 8 weeks old and ready to leave us, it will be with a health-certificate, a sinus-attest, and  of course a DKK pedigree together with a puppy-package of puppy-food of best quality, puppy-toy, collar and leash, a little blanket with the good smell of mum and its siblings, a file containing pictures of the puppy from the first 8 weeks and other relevant information, including a membership of RRK for the rest of that year. The puppy will also be chipped.

We have a great wish to follow our puppies, after they have left us, and we will of course be available with help and guidance subsequently.

If you wish for a puppy from us, we want to meet you and you to meet our dogs. If we feel convinced that a Ridgeback will be the right breed for you, we will write you on our waiting-list without any obligations for you. We wish for all our puppies  that they will come to good homes, with people who are willing to invest in an active live for their dog. After the puppies are born, mother and puppies must have peace and quiet for the first 3 weeks, but thereafter you are very welcome to visit by appointment.  You will obviously have the opportunity to wish which puppy that you are most interested in, but the puppies will not be finally distributed until after the 7.th week, when they have been puppy-tested.  Here we as breeders will take both the puppy-test and the puppy-buyers profile and requests into consideration when deciding  which puppy shall go to which  buyer – thereby hopefully making everybody happy.
